Diagnosis
Scutellum with large-meshed and strong reticulation, median groove indicated in anterior ¼ but lateral mesh-rows are missing; petiole with elongate grooves; gaster with a very large 1st tergite, 0.8-0.9X as long as total length of gaster, and with elongate striae in posterior 2/3. See also retzius.
Distribution
Colombia, Costa Rica, Honduras, Mexico. Introduced into USA and Europe.
Biology
From eggs of Leptinotarsa undecimlineata (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae) on Solanum saponaceum (Solanaceae), and L. decemlineata.
